the steps you’ve got. There is even a chance to learn a new step or two. Refreshments will be served. Everyone Welcome!

Practice Dances are designed to let you practice what you have learned in dance classes on the dance floor with other
people in a social setting. You can practice your steps, meet new people, work on music identification & timing, It is
important to have FUN! This is the step between lessons and going to a dance or function.

Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts
I am currently the Guest Artist at the Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts in Buffalo.
Working with some of my Alumni & teaching the Dance Majors the art of Ballroom & Latin Dancing. The students
& I are working on routines in Waltz, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Merengue, Salsa & Hustle for there Dance Concert on Feb
26 & 27th 2009. I will also be performing with Paul Kittell. Contact me for tickets & more info

Dance at the
Swedish Festival
|
Folk dance dance classes at Augustana Lutheran Church. We
would love to have you join us.
In April we start getting ready for our Mid Sommar Swedish Festival. We will have Free
Swedish Dance classes. Any one that participates is invited to Dance at our festival. We supply costumes
and food for the day of the Festival.
If you know any girl scouts that need their dance badge and are interested in learning multiple folk dances, we have
classes for that too. I have worked with other scout troops. It can range from 1-2 hours (a snack is supplied
in classes 1& 1/2 hours or longer). There can be up to 30 girls in the class. It is by appointment
and can be held almost any day of the week. It is $65 per hour. The girls would meet at Augustana Church unless special
arangments are made.

Girl Scouts - Dance Badge
A Great way to get your dance badge or just get together for a fun evening of dancing.
10-100 Girl Scouts
We teach stretching, 4 or 5 dances from around the world, history of the dances and specifics needed
to get the Badge.

STUDENT SPONSORED ACTIVITIES
|

A Music Identification Class was sponsored by the Miletello's (owners
of Bubbles & Barks)and held in their beautiful Garden on August 4.
The goal was to be able to identify the rhythm in a song in any social setting, in order to choose the appropriate dance
steps. The result was a delightful evening with friends in a lovely and serene setting.

A Picnic for Ballroom Dancers & Friends
Daniel & Margret Andrey sponsored the picnic which was held on Friday July 28.We
enjoyed a wonderful day by the water! There were roast beef sandwiches, meatball bombers, and all the side dishes & soda
we could eat & drink. Most people chose to reduce the nominal fee by bringing a special dish to share. Live
music was played throughout the day. Dancing on grass or docks was for fun only.
